Job Summary:
The Digital Print Production Specialist is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications and deadlines. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple print jobs in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor digital print equipment (e.g., large-format and small-format printers).
- Prepare, review, and process print files to ensure accuracy, color consistency, and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on digital printing equipment.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the print process and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with design, production, and fulfillment teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage materials, including paper stock, inks, and finishing supplies.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized, clean production workspace.
- Document production data and report issues or improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Graphic Arts, Printing, or related field preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in digital print production or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with digital printing equipment and RIP software.
- Strong understanding of color management, file formats, and print workflows.
- Ability to lift production materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-format or industrial digital printers
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Familiarity with finishing processes such as cutting, binding, lamination, or mounting
